Really great video legend
I enjoy your video's to.
Great coverage Dave, I'm so pleased more and more people are taking a moment to film and share their experience - this is the best way to grow our hobby. The video is excellent, I loved seeing a lot of stuff I missed, please keep them coming pal, I really enjoyed seeing this! 💯 🔥🔥🔥
Great video brother!
Best video I’ve seen off this, good job 👍
Went on the Saturday, very busy, very warm, very enjoyable. Added 9 cars to the collection, great to see the McLaren owners club day outside, very colourful, but still rather have a 911. Nice to see Ernie from MrSlotcar attending, those C1 Vettes will be popular when they are released .
selling Dynamic auto painter 8, for 10$ if anybody want
Ciao, bellissima musica. Happy Sunday 👍 🍀🏁❤️
Amazing work!!! File a patent
So many memories from stourpaine and here thanks

Well done!
I prefer slow speeds with my Hudy also, specifically 2.5-3 volts, even as low as 2 volts for tyres that pick-up readily. I know it takes longer but results are great. I also keep amp draw below 2 amps. . I notice you also do what I do which is line up the wheel grubscrew with the one on the pulley wheel which makes it easier to find on short hub wheels 😄
I must try to remember to put my meter on the Hudy and see what volts and amps I am using. I am inclined to do it by ear most of the time.
@@daveatwinterslane I use an old LRP Pulsar battery charger from my RC car days, it has 1-12v adjustable output with amp readings.
I am late to the party to congratulate you on an excellent design and build. I love it! This reminds me of a train set that my dad built for me when I was six years old. It even had a tunnel. 😀
Nice!!
What wood do you use for base?
The slots are routed into a 2x4 foot sheet of MDF. The frame and support battens are timber from the local D.I.Y. store. The cover on the underside is a 2x4 sheet of "hardboard".
Great build!!!!
Am working on a Max D at the moment.
Súper divertida está competición 😂
Genial😂😍👌👌👌
Looks like awsome fun 😊Greetings from Northern Europe 🤗
🤣 Too funny!!
Be good to have a camera on one of the cars to show the close driving and even some slow motion to see the close shaves.😢
Amazing results with this app - really impressive!
What size motor gear are used and how many volts is used on the track? Thanks this is very cool. I race and wish i could do this!
Sorry I have no details of the motor or volts used, this is just a video clip that I came across on the internet. There are some details of Slot Drag Racing here. www.motortrend.com/features/hot-rod-anything-140-mph-slot-car-drag-racing/ I think that the current speeds are now around 150mph.
I did the vets barrel, and once again another great year
Epic video, i have this on VCR. Alot early than 2003 though. Would suggest 1994 ish ?
Thank you Dave for sharing your build and video Dave of the F2 SlotStox kit 👍. As I mentioned on SlotForum, the Slot-it motor mount - although a new / sealed pack, it was missing the bearings. This is unfortunate and frustrating. The front axle spacers had been fitted the wrong way around. The flange fits up against the hub rather than the chassis. That's probably why you had no movement in the front axle. As for the interior, this is an issue that came to light after the first batch had been produced despite lots of testing of the prototype. We have rectified this issue and the next print run will be amended. Your experience in building kits certainly helped to overcome these issues in a positive way. Going forward, we will produce and provide an instructions sheet with this kit. Thanks again for sharing and we are glad that you like the kit. Cheers Sean.
Looking good, Dave!
I love hearing Master Moon wolf sing!
very very nice!! :)
Happy🎉 Birthday
Great, awesome! How do you get the polarity to change?
Wow this is awesome, I just subscribed I’ll watch for more super cool 👍👍😎
Glad that you enjoyed the video. Just search RUclips for "Slot Monster Trucks" or have a look at the "Monster Slot Trucks, Tanks and Pullers" Facebook page, for mote of the same.

Wow my models in the opening scene
Hello Dave, What paint did you use for the track surface? Looking for something that will not be too grippy and allow a bit of tail-out action.
Hi, The paint used in the above Slot Stox track is "floor paint", The same paint that we have used on our club track at the East Devon Slot Racing Club. There the level of grip has slowly built up over the 12 years that the track has been in weekly use. At the club we use rubber tyres treated with "3 in 1" oil, and as the rubber laid down on the track has built up so has the grip. On my little oval I use cars with both sponge and rubber tyres, also the track has not seen so much use, so how the anount of "grip" will change over time I am not sure. Anyway "floor paint" is what a number of clubs use, then it is down to tyres and tyre treatment to determin how much grip you get.
Cheers @@daveatwinterslane thank you for replying quickly. TBH I was hoping that you had used something unusual, I know from the Forums that you are heavily in to this kind of racing. I think that floor-paint is by nature fairly high-grip. I guess that your Stox cars are just great at staying in the slot so they hold the tail out strongly. Thank you for the info.
@@ScuderiaTurini As most of my slot stox cars are low and wide, with the weight way down low they do handle fairly well. Also don;t forget that the cars using the inside and outside lane are just set to run at a constant speed via "model railway" style controllers, so they should not de-slot. Only the car in the middle lane is being controlled by me via a normal slot car controller. A real life race might look a bit different. Still all good fun.
What's the song please? It's great
The song is from the from the 1987 VHS Tape "The Living Legend - Bigfoot 4x4x4" Song is titled "Legend of Bigfoot"
What's the song before/after led zeppelin?😊
The song at the start and end of this video is from the 1987 VHS Tape "The Living Legend - Bigfoot 4x4x4" Song is titled "Legend of Bigfoot"
very cool
Lol fun..how'd you fix that trailing arm to the bottom?
Basicly the drop-arm hangs and pivots from yjr rear axle. See the following video's for a closer look of the build. Any questions, please feel free to ask. .ruclips.net/video/4f6NjFdsWV0/видео.html ruclips.net/video/wCDmV100SnY/видео.html ruclips.net/video/k-53TM26n40/видео.html
Thanks very much for the reply and links. Much appreciated.
I carved the pop body from wood. then gave it to Dave Illand to mold the plasticard shell then it was forwarded to SCD ( Chas Keeling )rip. Put a front grill on the pop. John Smith.
A great bit of history. I am toying with the idea of making up a decal for the front grill. Dave.

Are you aware of the "Monster Slot Trucks, Tanks and Pullers" Facebook group ?
Wished I had time for more slot car projects- been selling more stuff over the last few years just trying to keep afloat in life.
Great music as well 👌
Awesome video Dave, it's great seeing these cars up & running
Fantastic
Awesome Dave, keep up the good work bud
I enjoy doing the work on these cars, am awaiting a supply of replacement tyres from Germany, via RS Slot Racing. There have also been some interesting comments, One I liked was "They look like model cars built by stock car racers, not stock cars built by model car builders" .
